For some reason, graphic design has always appealed to me. I doubt there were many other twelve year olds who asked for a technical pen set and dry-transfer lettering for their birthday. Though, similar to my approach with cars and motorcycles, a lot of the fun was cleaning the technical pen set.
Photo Retouching/Editing
The samples below illustrate some of the tricks I have developed for Photoshop to create interesting new looks using source imagery. In each example, the original is on the left, and the edited version is on the right.
 This photo of Vincent Price was turned into a nifty bit of line art by using a combination of Sumi-E, Posterization, and Art Brush. Details on creating this look to come.

The image above is a photo from the Princess Bride used for a birthday card. The image was turned into a half-toned comic book art style. To see the half-toning, click the image.
